Aloha, and mahalo for viewing my website. I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in Hawaii.  My parents were of Hawaiian, Portuguese, Irish and German heritage and after growing up in Hilo, they married and moved to Oahu where they raised five children.  I can still remember moving into our newly constructed house in Kailua back in 1961. That home became the hub of our ohana until my parents moved in 1988.  I learned at a young age that home ownership in Hawaii is something precious, and being able to live in paradise should never be taken for granted. With that foundation, my education and subsequent professional positions has been leading up to my career as a Salesperson for one of the most respected real estate agencies in Hawaii – Island Sotheby’s International Realty.

As a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapalama (Oahu), I went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I moved to California in 1987 to work in Silicon Valley where I held various positions in high tech marketing and sales support. While there I also earned an MBA in Marketing.  After almost 20 years in the Bay Area, I was able to fulfill my dream of moving back to Hawaii. It was then that I met my wife Dawn who was living on Maui. We initially bought a home in Up Country Maui which we then sold to move to Kihei.  In early 2014 we bought a home in Wailuku which in hindsight has provide me with the experience of becoming familiar with the buyer side of three distinct residential markets on the Valley Isle. While we love life on Maui, our two children live in Northern California.

For the six years prior to joining Island Sotheby’s International Realty, I was a Rental Manager for the largest luxury vacation rental provider in Wailea/Makena. That experience provided me with a solid understanding of the various developments in South Maui and in particular, what buyers and sellers need to know when buying vacation rental homes. I also established relationships with vendors involved in the remodel and home maintenance industries which I can leverage on your behalf. Home owners have also called on me to provide recommendations on staging their homes as well as interior design.

In all my professional experience, the ability to listen to clients and understand their needs and goals has been a key strength. This is particularly crucial for me as a Realtor®. I look forward to working with you and representing you when it comes to buying or selling your home.

Mahalo nui loa.
